Soul in a Bowl

It is important to us that church is a place where people from all backgrounds and traditions can be welcome to discuss their beliefs. Soul in a Bowl (SiaB) is a discussion forum which aims to provide a place for us all to talk about some of the things that we never really get to talk about in church! It always involves good food, and debate! It is designed for people who want to engage with tricky faith issues - it is not really designed for people who insist that they alread have all of the correct answers.

SiaB has been running for about 4 years and has covered some issues which can be fairly controversial for churches and Christians. We have considered most things from heaven, hell, universalism, Christians attitude towards the environment, homosexuality & inclusive church, liturgy and sacred rituals, homelessness...

Over the coming months we are hoping to have some dicussions on Islam & Christianity, Franciscan spirituality, the God of War in the Old Testament... and some other stuff!

SiaB rotates between discussion evenings and socials - if you would like any info then please email us, or take a look at the Facebook group. Although we try to be an inclusive church people must book in advance for Soul in a Bowl, and it costs approximately £7.
